When to perform self-monitoring?
Self-monitoring involves measuring blood pressure in the morning (3 readings) and evening (3 readings) for 3 consecutive days.
This monitoring helps the doctor:
- Confirm hypertension
- Assess the effectiveness of the treatment
- In cases of white coat hypertension
- In cases of resistant hypertension
